Shipping Policy

We wish you could visit us in our store to pick up your order in person. But we know that's not always possible, so we rely on planes, trains and automobiles to bring you your order.

Please note, we can only ship Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Items will be shipped as soon as possible after the order is received.

Some larger items may be overweight and will have higher shipping fees.

Shipping to remote areas may incur extra shipping costs. 


There are some issues with the order system that may cause your shipping amount to show as higher than it should be. Shipping amount may duplicate if order includes items from both our locations, this is a glitch and the extra charge will be refunded.

In-Store Pickup

Due to the nature of the online order system, orders that contain items from both our locations may not display availability for In Store Pickup. If this occurs, choose a regular shipping option and leave a note on the order indicating which location you would like to pick up at. We will refund the shipping amount and notify you when your order is ready at the specified pick up location.

If you are in the Kootenays, or if you are buying a gift for someone near our stores in Nelson and Rossland, BC, we offer an in-store pickup option free of charge. Choose "Pick Up In Store" for the appropriate location in the shipping options, indicate the recipient in the order notes and we will hold the item until they can pick it up.


All regular weight items are now only $10 and heavy weight items are $30. Some remote locations may have higher shipping costs, this will be $15 for regular items and $35 for heavyweight items. We ship using UPS or Canada Post Expedited Parcel, and all orders include tracking information.

If you require faster shipping please contact us before placing your order. 



Orders shipped outside Canada are not charged Canadian taxes; however, all orders go through the recipient country's customs and may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs processing fees. We do our best to minimize these fees through our shipping methods, and by sourcing Canadian-made products, but are unable to estimate if any fees will be applied by the recipient country, or what the final fees will be. Recipients are responsible for paying these additional fees.

Unfortunately, shipping costs to our Southern neighbours can be much higher than shipping within Canada. We apologize for the higher costs. It’s just out of our hands. Shipping times are also much longer due to customs, and again, we’re sorry! We do everything we can to expedite these processes and get your items to you as quickly as possible.

Orders sent to the USA will usually take approximately 5-10 business days for delivery except for orders sent to Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico; which can take up to 21 days for delivery. Faster delivery options are available and will be charged at actual cost. Please contact us for further information.

As we mentioned above, we wish you could come to Mountain Baby in person, but since you can't, we'll do the best we can to get your order to you as quickly as possible.



General things to keep in mind:
  • Turn-around times can be incredibly quick (the elves in the back room are very efficient), so if you need to make any changes please do not delay in contacting us!
  • We will strive to get your order to you as quickly and efficiently as possible. But because we do not have our own fleet of Mountain Baby delivery vehicles (maybe one day?), we cannot absolutely guarantee delivery times. We will always do our best, and we hope the delivery companies will do the same. We are also, (as you might have guessed from the name!) located in a mountainous, remote area, so shipping costs may be slightly higher than from outlets that are in urban centres.
  •  We are a green, eco-conscious company, so we re-use our boxes. Do not fear if you receive a box that has the name of something you did not order. It’s just us recycling.
